Nibrak Cloth Armor disappeared from your character? Patch 2.04.07 brings it back
Chest armor gone from your body slot, inventory and every save? Hotfix 2.04.07 fixes the vanishing Nibrak Cloth Armor. Here's what comes back and what doesn't.
Steps
- Update to hotfix 2.04.07. Pearl Abyss's 2.04.07 hotfix has exactly one fix: Nibrak Cloth Armor disappearing. It's out on Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation, Xbox and the Epic Games Store. The Mac App Store version comes later.
- Load a save from before 2.04.06. The player who reported the bug tested this after patching. On saves made before 2.04.06, the armor came back with all its upgrades and socketed Abyss Gears.
- Check saves made on 2.04.06. On saves made after the armor had already vanished on 2.04.06, the same player found it was still missing after the patch. Compare an older save against your latest one before you decide which to keep.
- Buy a replacement in Hernand if you need one. Tina at Hernand Tailor's Shop sells Nibrak Cloth Armor for 246 Copper once you've finished the quest The End of Greed. A bought copy won't have your old upgrades or Abyss Gears.
The problem: after hotfix 2.04.06, players loaded their game and found their chest armor gone. The body slot was empty, and the armor wasn’t in the inventory, camp storage, on a companion or on a horse. It was missing from older autosaves too. Every report on Steam named the same piece: Nibrak Cloth Armor, the Goldleaf guard uniform from Kailok’s camp. One player had kept a copy in their house wardrobe, and that one vanished as well.
The fix: install hotfix 2.04.07. Pearl Abyss put it out on the evening of November 4 (US time), and its patch notes have a single line: fixed an issue where Nibrak Cloth Armor would disappear. It’s live on Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation, Xbox and the Epic Games Store. The Mac App Store version is still in progress.
What comes back after the patch
The player who started the Steam thread tested it after 2.04.07 and reported back:
- Saves made before 2.04.06: the armor is back, with every upgrade and socketed Abyss Gear intact.
- Saves made on 2.04.06, after the armor had already vanished: it’s still missing. The patch stops the bug, but it doesn’t put the armor back into those saves.
So if you upgraded your Nibrak Cloth Armor a lot, look for a manual save or autosave from before you installed 2.04.06 and see how much progress you’d lose going back to it. If it’s only an hour or two, the old save is the way to get your upgraded armor back.
Getting a new one instead
If you’d rather keep your current save, you can buy the armor again. Tina at Hernand Tailor’s Shop sells Nibrak Cloth Armor for 246 Copper after you’ve finished the quest The End of Greed. Two players in the Steam thread found it in her stock and bought it. The guards at Kailok’s camp also drop it at random. A new copy starts at base level, so any upgrades and Abyss Gears you’d put into the old one are lost.
Still missing another item?
Only Nibrak Cloth Armor is named in the patch notes and in the Steam reports. If a different piece of gear has gone missing, report it to Pearl Abyss through the Report an Issue link on the official Crimson Desert site. If it’s a mount that’s gone rather than armor, it has probably just moved to the Special Mounts tab: see where your mounts went.
